Today, aka day 3 was our final day at cardigan. We woke up and went downstairs to eat some breakfast which was bacon, eggs, sausage and oatmeal if you wanted some. We then went upstairs and we got ready for a little hiking and some activities. We got into our groups and we started talking about the different types of things we have seen over the few days and then we headed off to the mountain. We did a scavenger hunt where we would use a compass and we had to find the location. We found a stone wall, some birch trees, and even some maple trees. The final location was for us to walk up the old ski trail, and we saw the old, rusty car! Hope then read us the lorax, and we then talked about some interesting things similar to it. She told us a fact about the book and it was that originally it said as dirty as like Michigan, but a few kids worked hard and cleaned it up so the author changed the wording! We then played another game and it was where we had to hide behind a tree, and we had three tasks. The first one was just to hide, the second one was to make animal noises when they said to. Our third task was when they held up numbers, we had to try to see them before they put them away. It was a very fun game. We then had to start leaving and we started walking down the trail. On the way down, Mr. Od got me a cricket and I are it! John had 4, and Zelda had one. We then had one last group meeting where we talked about our favorite part of today was. It was very fun but also upsetting that it was our last meeting. We then walked over the the lodge and played a game and then loaded the bus. That was our final day at Cardigan.
