Mt Cardigan is near bristles . At the base of mt Cardigan is the AMC Lodge . We saw an old car , which had bullet holes in it and the car was used as a ski lift up the mountain . We also have a lot of fun games like camouflage and asked and mouth . We did many other things like study plots sketches and river studies . We used Infrared Guns to take the surface temp .and GPS to track and waypoint and more. It is located near Bristol and the amc lodge. On the hike We went up Firescrew and from there to Cardigan. Becka is fun kind and sweet. All of the instructors are nice and fun Hope can do the best owl calls I have seen and heard. the exact location of mt cardigan is N43 degrees 39’ 21.9’’ W 071 degrees 54’ 27.9’’. That is the location paragraph. It’s a pretty place with brooks trees bears it’s an amazing Mt. Firescrew, sit the various campgrounds around Mount Cardigan Lodge. The AMC Lodge is a four-story four floor refurbished farmhouse consisting of a muddy mud room, a small library, an entry hall, a pretty dining hall, kitchen, living room, staff housing space, and two floors of guest bunk rooms. While on our trip to the Mt Cardigan, I met many new people. For instance, I met some AMC (Appalachian Mountain Club) employees that were our our trip leaders and pack leaders. we did games and talked about ORT and many other things. There was a very “fake” alpine zone, plants are few, and they have developed many many many adaptations because of their habitat. Here is an example, these plants are small so that the wind doesn't blow them away. Then also have very very strong roots that help keep them in the ground. The reason for this is that at the top then wind can be so violent that if they didn’t have very very strong roots because if they didn’t they would be blown right off the top of mt cardigan. Some other plants that live on Mt. Cardigan consists of Club Moss, Lichen, Solomon Seal, and Hobblebush. Some tree species that call Mt. Cardigan it’s home are White Pine, Red Maple, Striped Maple, Red Spruce, American Beech, Fire Cherry, Scotch Pine, Sugar Maple, and Golden Birch and much much much more. We were at Mt Cardigan lodge For 3 days when we got there it was terenchaly rain fall . Day2 we start the hike we go up firescrew and over the saddle to the to of mt Cardigan. Day3 we did a river study and short hike on a nature trail.
