Sketchs on Day 2
On our second day on our Cardigan trip started by us getting up at around 6:45-7:00 am for an eight am breakfast. After we ate our lovely breakfast we got called up to make our lunches for the hike. Maybe an hour or so later we started to walk, stopped and did several sketches of Scotch Pine needles and cone, Juniper, and a Sugar Maple. Twenty minutes later we started hiking the actual trial which was up Firescrew and across to Cardigan. About fifteen minutes later we stopped to sketch a decade apple tree and then continued to hike. Every time we got closer to the top of firescrew we took hydration and snack breaks, but once we got to the top of firescrew we ate our lunches, did sketches, and enjoyed the view. Once we got to the top of mount Cardigan we took a section one picture and sketched the fire tower, the view, or the rock carvings. But before we knew it, we had to hike back down the mountain for dinner and free time. When we started to head down the mountain on the Alexandria Ski Trail we stopped and did a tree study, then continued to hike back without stopping. When everyone got back to the lodge we had dinner and free time. Soon after dinner and free time we had a bonfire where the instructors read stories, and groups made up skits, followed by Mr. Woolners story’s and after, us going to sleep. That pretty much wraps up day two of the Cardigan trip.
