Day 1 of our cardigan trip. Cardigan mountain is located in the northwest of NH. First we got to school, it was raining and we went down to the back of the school near the pre engineering room and woodshop are. Some of us (kids) were sitting on the stairs, and some were standing in the hallway to the door that leads outside. Our stuff was gathered in the hall and when it was time to leave we all went outside. Since my dad was chaperoning, my dad and I put all our gear into his car because he.I had to take the bus which I hate. All I did was sit and stare out the window for an hour because my friend was sitting with me, which she wanted me to and she never talked to me the whole time.After the painfully boring bus ride, we finally got to the lodge.We all had to get out in the pouring rain and bring all the gear into the gear room inside. Then we all changed into some dry clothes. We all met at the dining hall and got our hiking groups for the trip. My group went out and did a pond study to figure out how healthy our pond really is. It didn't look that healthy to me. But it turns out it was pretty healthy due to the research.Then we all came back inside changed into our pj’s and had an hour of free time before dinner. We had lasagna that night which was really good. Then our groups went on a night hike. My group did a game in the front of the lodge in the dirt parking lot. By this time it had stopped raining. Then we started to go out and walk into the woods on a trail a little and there our group leader, Tabitha, told us a story about why the pirates always wore eyepatches. Then we all went and listened to a story inside in the living room when Mr.Woolner broke the coffee table. Then we all went to sleep in our bunk rooms.(Their not that comfortable)
