Everyone has many systems. We need these systems to do things. If we didn't have these systems we would not be able to live. Without one we would not have the other.
The digestive system is the system that processes what you eat. This system has many different organs to help achieve a common goal. It starts in the mouth where the teeth and saliva break the food down. Then once swallowed, the food goes down in the esophagus. The esophagus brings it down to the stomach where the harsh acids break the food down. It then goes to the small intestine where the nutrients are absorbed. Then it's off to the large intestine which soaks up all the water and fluids. while it's doing this bile was being released from the liver. The bile comes from the gallbladder. The pancreas releases enzymes and juices.
The urinary system is the system that processes what you drink. The water comes down where the kidneys filter out all the bad bacteria. Then from the kidney it is processed and sent down the ureter. The ureter is a pair of thin smooth tubes. These are used to take the harmful waste and bacteria and get it to the urinary bladder. The urinary bladder holds all the wasteful fluids. The urinary bladder can be controlled by the human. The bladder can be held off for quite a while, but can not be held off forever. The bladder will eventually let go. The waste will travel from the urinary bladder to the urethra. From there it will be excreted.
The cardiovascular system is the system of tissue, veins and arteries in your body. Two of the most famous in this category are the heart and the lungs. The heart pumps blood all throughout your body. The heart is a vital organ and you can not live without it. The lungs are also vital. The lungs take in oxygen and take out carbon dioxide. After taking in oxygen it sends it to the heart where the deoxygenated blood is oxygenated. After the blood is oxygenated it is sent throughout the body. Another one that is famous is the femoral artery which holds a lot of blood. If this gets damaged you have the very good possibility of not making it. There are many other arteries and veins but these are the ones most people are familiar with.
The nervous system is a system of nerves that makes it so you can feel. When you get a cut, and it stings, that's nerves. When you get hit, and the bruise hurts, that's nerves. Nerves are very useful. When you touch the remote or touch your dog, that's nerves. Without nerves you would be able to live. There is a rare birth defect where you are born without working nerves. This is called anencephaly. The nervous system on the other hand is a system of nerves that run throughout all of your body. You're using your nerves right now. Standing on your feet, sitting on your butt, sitting on your hands. Whatever you're touching you're using nerves.
The skeletal system is a mass number of bones. To be specific, 206 bones in the human adult. When a baby is born it has 300+ bones. It's bones will merge when it gets older. The skeletal system hold you up. If you didn't have the skeletal system you would essentially be a lump of blood, nerves, veins, organs and arteries and skin. Bones are the structure of your body. They make it so you are able to stand up and run. Bones will grow if you get enough calcium. Your bones will also grow as you get older.
The muscular system is an organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles. It helps the body move, maintain posture, and circulates blood throughout the body.If you didn't have the muscular system you couldn't pick things up. You would be very lazy. In fact you could not move. Muscles expand and contract to do simple tasks like lift a pencil. There are 640 muscles in the average adult.
Cells are they key part of everything in your body. Cells make up everything in your body, and I mean everything. Even the food that you ate had cells in it. Cells hold your body together. The average human has over a trillion cells. Cells continually die and are born. A blood cell has the lifespan of four months. The cell is continually used in many places until death once it does it will be filtered by the liver.
The respiratory system is the system that helps you breath. Without it you would die of oxygen loss. The respiratory system takes in oxygen and exhales carbon dioxide. It will filter your air and take out all the hazardous materials, (particles). The new air goes in the mouth or nose and down the trachea. It then goes down the bronchus. It goes into the lungs where the air goes to tiny sacs called violi. The air is filtered. It keeps going like this 40,000 times a day.
