On the third, and last day at Cardigan Mountain we went up to the park and played a game called "The mystery of the trees" and the Pin Cherry was one of the very important trees in this slate of land.

On day three of my cardigan trip, we started the day off by picking up all of our stuff and getting it ready for the ride home. We then went down stairs for breakfast. We had french toast, bacon, oatmeal, and fruit. That was the best meal they had served all week! After breakfast was over we got ready for our short hike up to the camp park to learn about what the site was before Cardigan lodge was made. We learned that that piece was once a ski resort, a home for people, a field for cows and other animals, had once had an enormous fire and was also a car dealership. I learned that lots of things can happen with just one piece of land. There were many different kinds of trees that we learned about and sketched. One of them was called the Pin Cherry tree. It grows when fires burn out a piece of land. There were also many more trees that had been transported there and yet weren't supposed to be there. They are now either killing something else that has grown in this territory or is overpopulating and making a huge mess. This is an example of movement and how humans can change a lot in one place just by planting one tree.
