Day 2

This is a sketch I did on the second day. We did an activity on abiotic and biotic things. The rocks are abiotic and the leaf is biotic.
My second day starts with someone waking me up. After we woke up we get dressed and ready for the day. Then we go downstairs and wait as another group sets up the tables. After the tables are set and the food is out we get to sit down and eat. I think we had eggs and muffins. After we finish eating like the night before we hear our ort report. I think we got it to 0.7 lbs. Once the tables are cleaned we go back upstairs and get our bags ready for the hike. After, we go back downstairs and meet with our groups again. Before we go hiking we do a quick abiotic and biotic activity. Once we finish the activity and sketch we start our hike! We stopped and sketched a couple times and did a plot study. Then we started to go up and up. Once we almost got to the top of Firescrew we ate lunch. We kept on hiking and eventually we were at the summit of Firescrew. We walked a little further and we did another plot study. Then we were ready to cross to Cardigan. We started to walk down hill and then went uphill again and then we were finally at the top of Cardigan. We saw all the other groups there. Then we took some pictures and also took a whole grade picture. After all the pictures we hiked down the mountain. It was very hard because it was slippery and muddy. Once we were off of the trail we started hiking down a ski trail which was much easier.This is an example of regions because it wasn't muddy like it was on the other trail and there were way more trees from when we were on the summit. Eventually we got back to the lodge. Then we had free time again. Sadly we had to go back inside to eat dinner. Once we finished dinner we heard our ort report. I think we got it down to 0.2 lbs. After dinner we had a fire. We told some stories and did some skits. Hope also tried some owl calls to see if any would respond. Then we went back inside and met in the living room and Mr. Wollner read us some stories again. During the middle of a story about Blackbeard he stood on a table and the table broke. He was okay and continued to read. Then we went upstairs and got ready for bed. After we were ready for bed we went to bed. That was the second day at Cardigan.
This is a sketch I did at the summit of Firescrew. It is the view I saw and some lichen that we saw on a rock.
