Some of the things that were at Cardigan were all of the plants and their meanings, the mountain itself, the pond, and the woods. For example, one of the plants there was called a Hobble Bush. The reason why the Hobble Bush is called the Hobble Bush is because many years ago when people came along with their horses, they would try to get Hobble Bush so if their horse got injured in the leg, they could wrap it around the horse's leg like a splint.
Some of the things that were man made on or near the mountain where the fire tower that was on the top of the mountain, the old car that was near the mountain, the trail markers, the bathrooms, and the signs. These things had to be made because other wise people would not be able to find their way around, they would have nowhere to go to the bathroom, there would be no fire tower so people would not be able to spot forest fires and then would not be able to help the people that may or may not be trapped in the woods.
A group of students and I went to Mt. Cardigan for three days. The three days were September 27 (Sunday), 28 (Monday), and 29 (Tuesday).
