I was almost right because the light yellow color is in the north instead of the south. But instead of having the whole far north really light it is a darker color. Except for Greenland.

s.  This image is “Land Surface Temperature.”.  It does not display Ocean Surface Temperature.  OPEN ANOTHE BROWSER TAB (sorry to be shouting...) and visit NASA-NEO, and locate Sea Surface Temperature 2002+ (MODIS), and open January 2015.

t.  Using the legend on the Sea Surface Temperature image, determine the value (number and unit) for the white-ish/lightest/highest color.

The whitish lightest color equals 35 degrees Celsius.
