The value is 213 for the lightest blue-ish/almost-whitish/lowest color.

This is located south of the equator in some spots, and the ocean right above the south pole.

p.   Can you think of a possible reason for this situation in January?

The reason this is a possible reason for this in January is because the earth has a tilt and in that part of the world; the earth is tilted to the sun in January. q.  What do you think the image would look like in July?        Why?
