The first thing we did on day one at cardigan was get off the bus. After we got of the bus we got introduced to the AMC lodge councillors. Then we played some games.At Cardigan there was a lot of human environment interation.For example people cut down trees to make the trailsAfter that we had lunch next we go settled into the lodge. We went back out to the field got told what our hiking groups were and went on a small hike. On that hike our hiking group did a stream study and we found a dead rat, then we finished our hike back to the cabin had some free time ate dinner and then we did a night hike we went not to far but it was dark and spooky. We stopped at one spot spread out across the forest and stayed quiet and listened to nature. After that we played a game we each got a marker and had to guess what color it was it was hard. Then we went back went up the big hill next to the lodge and watched the start of the lunar eclipse for a few minutes and then went back to the lodge got out pjs on and Mr. Woolner read us a story or 2 and we went out to see the full lunar eclipse. After that we went to bed.
