This is a quiz that was found in the Sunday January 3 2010 Concord Monitor newspaper…. Answers are there, too. You need to read the question, and… if you KNOW the correct answer, that’s good… but you must still VERIFY that correct answer. And write out your source for that correct answer. And, MOST importantly, I want to you also write out your thinking process- especially for the questions you do NOT know the answer to. Can you eliminate any of the answers? How? And how did you search for the correct answer? Did you search the QUESTION, or did you search the possible answers?
Write it out! Be complete. A good paragraph per answer is what we are after here…

1. What are the three places that make up the points of the Bermuda Triangle?
I am going to use google as a search engine. I am going to use google because it is the normally the very first search engine that pops up onto your computer when you log onto a browser, such as Google Chrome. We are going to do an advanced search, but not the gear, are going to limit the domain results. My key words are going to be whitewater rafting, Kampar River location. I tried using a site:*.edu, and nothing that showed up really interested me, until I searched for some other stuff for site:*.edu. I found 7 results total. If you want to go whitewater rafting on the Kampar River, then you would have to go to Gopeng, Malaysia.
I am going to use Bing for my search engine. I am going to use Bing as my search engine, because I like it for a second search engine. My key words I am going to use is Devonshire, and England. Devonshire is located exactly in the United Kingdom (UK). I found 109,000,000 results. I did a limited domain search of site:*.edu. (http://www.britannica.com/place/Devon ) Devonshire is located Southwest England.
I am going to use Ixquick for my search engine. I am going to use Ixquick because Mr. Woolner told us all about it, and how much he uses it, and how much be likes it. My keywords I am going to use is Adirondacks. (http://www.esf.edu/communications/spruce/2011.pdf ) The website had said that the answer is Mountain range in the New York state.
I am going to use Google for my search engine. I am going to use google because it is the first website browser that pops up when you go onto google chrome. My keywords that I am going to use is formal name, region, Caribbean. I found 49,300,000 different results. The website had said that it was located in The West Indies. I already knew that it was located in the West Indies, so I had to see if I was correct, by searching for the real answer.

I am going to use google for my search engine because it is my favorite search engine, and I have been using it for a few years for when I have to search something on the internet. My keywords are going to be Leave from which city, to the Galapagos Islands. I found 546,000 results. (http://www.galapagosislands.com/blog/how-to-get-to-the-galapagos-islands/ ) The website said that the answer is Quito, Ecuador. It says even if you live in the United States, the best option is to travel to Quito, Ecuador.

My key words are United States, first national park. I am going to guess that the answer is B) which is Yellowstone. I found 30,500,000 different results. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_parks_of_the_United_States ) The website says that the answer is Yellowstone national park. It said that it was the oldest, and that it was established in 1890.
