Day two was by far our busiest day at Cardigan. That day two we hiked up Firescrew mountain and then over the saddle to cardigan and then back down to the lodge, this totaling about seven miles of hiking. On day two we left at about eight thirty and started hiking. My group went up the Manning/ holt trail which lead to Firescrew. Along the way there was a lot of region. Besides the obvious alpine zone and boreal zone there were a lot of different types of plants and rocks. For plants there were trees and other shrubs. As we went up the mountains the only trees remaining were pine and white birch trees, both of which had gotten noticeably shorter as we went up this is a good example of regions. The rocks on the other handwere mostly all granite or other igneous rock. The trails were also a good example of human environment interaction. This is because the trails were marked and made by humans in the environment. After all this we went back to the lodge on the alexandria ski trail which is definitely the steepest trail you can hike. But, in the end day two was the longest and most hiking day.
