The West Indies are part of an underwater chain, formed by volcanoes with rich soil.

2.What is the major industry of the West Indies?

Tourism is the main tourism of this region. Many tourist enjoy the West Indies for thier qualities.

3.Region-what three archipelagos make up the west Indies?

The, The greater antillies, the Lesser Antilles and the Bahamas. All of these archipelagos form to make up the West Indies. Those are three different island groups.

4.History-name four groups who have influenced the culture of the Caribbean region.

Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. All of these places influenced the Caribbean culture with economic and government reasons.

5.Government-How is Cuba different from every other country in the Western Hemisphere?

Cuba is the only country that has a government that is based off of communism. All of the others are democracies and those. Cuba is the only one based off of communism.
