The Cardigan Trip

Mount Cardigan is located in orange, NH about 1 hour 30 minutes away from the Hopkinton Middle High School. The coordinates for the top of cardigan mountain are 43.64 Minutes North and 71.91 Minutes 48 Seconeds West. The highest point of Mount Cardigan is approximately 961.644 meters high or 3,155 feet high. The coordinates for the cardigan lodge are 43.6493 degrees North and 71.8775 degrees West. The cadigan lodge is approximately 2,800 feet in elevation. With the Cardigan lodge being approximately at 2,800 feet and the top of cardigan being 3,155 feet that is about 3 hundred and 55 feet in elevation.

When we were hiking up to the top of the mountain cardigan we did some plot study's. We were finding a lot of beech trees and spruce trees and also came across a cool brook. When we were all done with the plot study we all went down to the brook and tried to find something that we thought was cool or interesting. So we all went down (our group) to the brook and some things that we found were a little pool of some sort of grease, and a tadpole and salamander.

What I liked at the lodge and at the top of mount Cardigan was that we were able to hang out and bunk with our friends and have fun but in a learning way. Like for example we were able to learn new things and while we were learning new things it was drilling it into our mind because we would also do an activity with It. But the activities that we were doing were always somewhat related to learning something. But when we were at the top of the Cardigan what I thought was cool was the building there because when we saw it from the Cardigan lodge it looked so small but when we got up there it was actually bigger than I thought. Also when we got to the top something else that I thought was interesting was that you could see that it was worth going up there because the view was amazing. we could see everything we could see miles and miles away we were also able to see the cardigan lodge from up there.The thing that really made the trip was that when we're just about to leave we saw a helicopter landing on firescrew mountain twice and that was where we had just come from.To sum it up it was a great trip.
