The Day Begins ...

I woke up and some people in my bunk were getting dressed to go down stairs. So I got up and got dressed. When I got down down stairs, I realized there were a lot more people up and down in the living room than I would have thought. I went over to the drinks area and got a half cup of hot chocolate and went to my friends to play cards with them.

We started to play BS when it was just Nate, Preston, Teagan, Shelby and I. Right when we finished shuffling the cards more people came down that wanted to play with us. The table in the hangout area was to small for all the people crowding around it so we moved to a regular table.

More people came so we restarted our game. We dealt everybody that wanted to play. When it was Shelby and Meagans turn they would make up a number and put one or two cards down. And it was hilarious. Also, a lot of the time, Meagan and Shelby would BS everybody to get more cards, but, sometimes they were lucky. Time had flown by and it was time for breakfast.

After breakfast there was a new leader named Tabby. And we took a little bit of time so Tabby could say who was in her group. I was one of them, Once her group was called, we got to go up and make our lunches and once we were done we could go up stairs to get our stuff ready for the hike.

********

My new group called the Hiking Hooligans started on the hike up the trails to lead toward Mount Firescrew. It was pretty flat for a while until we got near the base of the mountain. When we got at the base it was when the tough hike started. Hills and steep rock climbs up the mountain.

Our group-The Hiking Hooligans did a lot of hard core. That is when we jumped from rock to rock on most of the way up the mountain. Every now and then we would stop to skeath in our books and make way points. For example, when we went onto Dukes Ski Trail. We saw a dead apple tree that was pretty cool and a old rock wall with several dead trees along it, so it probably was a boundary in between two properties. Also, on the way up, Michael and Lilia came up with a chant for our group.

When we got to a spot, we thought that we were a couple yards away from the summit - there was more to climb. All of us had gotten too excited so we stopped when we got to the place where we thought was the summit and ate our lunch. After about 15 minutes we got up and started our journey to the summit once again. We did a little more of our hard core. Plus, Michael and Lilia shared our chant groups chant with us:

Everywhere we go

Everywhere we go

People wanna know

People wanna know

Who we are

Who we are

And we tell them

And we tell them

We are the Hooligans

We are the Hooligans

The Hiking Hiking Hooligans

The Hiking Hiking Hooligans

So we sang it when we were most of the way up to the summit because there was another group up there (I think the group was the Flaming Mercats). We sat and drank some water when we got to the top of Firescrew. Then we sketched the view in our books. We also got another Way Point and the longitude and latitude. After about 15 minutes we started to hike the saddle over to Cardigan Mountain. Half way we met up with same group we did at the summit of Firescrew. They had found an owl pellet. And of course we HAD to stop to sketch it. Of course they said to sketch it so that they could get to the top before us.

We finally go to the top of Cardigan and the other groups where there but one which was behind us. Some of the groups just hiked Cardigan. When everybody but one group was there we took one large group photo. Then we got to hike down. Our group had to stop to do a plot study. But we finished it quickly so we got to go down. The group hiked down the Alexandra Ski Trail. There was a couple times where Michael, Alex, and Charlie all fell on it, but, it was kinda funny.

Our group finally got down to the lodge and we had a 45 minute me time. I went to play cards with the usual group. After a few rounds of BS we went went to eat dinner. Tonight was chicken. It was okay but not my favorite.

After dinner we had some ice cream sundaes. They had vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate/rainbow sprinkles, and some Hershey's chocolate syrup. The sundaes were delicious. We listen to some stories after dinner and had a campfire where the group of us people did a lot of activities. For example, we sang two songs, we listened to a story about the stars and had some skits. Every hiking had a preformed a skit about their day. We did our song, some hard core, and when Michael had fell about 5 times on the Alexandra Ski Trail.

Soon we went inside and went to bed. But first, Mrs. Carens came around with the swedish fish and peppermint patties. Like last night we talked a little bit but we were tired from the long hike today so we only stayed up for about 15 to 20 minutes-not even. And then we fell asleep.

Regions Paragraph:

On day two we saw regions when we hiked Cardigan and Firescrew. We saw the three alpine zones. When everybody hiked higher and higher we could see the trees getting more scarce. Near the bottom trees were dence, towards the middle of the mountain it was not as dence, but there was still plenty of trees, soon, when we got near the top of the mountain we saw that trees were scarce and when we got to below the summit and there was no trees at all.
