This is a sketch of a sugar maple tree that we saw during an activity called "Mystery of the Trees".

Like the day before, we were woken to a cheerful Miss Cairns. Breakfast was slow, we were all tired from the hike the day before. After breakfast we had to pack up our rooms, and bring all of our stuff to a trailer so that we would be ready to head back to school. Soon, everybody was changed for another hike, but this one was going to be much shorter than the other ones we had done because we only had half of the day before we had to leave.

We walked out to a region (regions is a theme of geography) of campsites in the woods, and Hope (our leader) explained that we would be doing a fun activity called "Mystery of the Woods". We had to follow directions and use compasses to learn about trees. The hunt lead us to all kinds of places, even an old car in the middle of the woods!

After the hunt, and a quick lunch, we had time to play games so our group decided to play "Camouflage" in the woods. We played a few rounds before heading back to the lodge. Since we had to leave right away after we got back, all we had time to do was play a few games, and then we all had to load onto the bus. Everyone waved to the leaders as the bus slowly dragged away from the Cardigan Mountain lodge.
