Through Cardigan and Back.read
by Charles R. Red Group. D1 B2
When I woke up on the second day, I looked out the window at Cardigan and was amazed; The mountain had turned red in the morning sun! It was an awesome sight! We got up, Nate and I played MTG (Magic The Gathering) and shortly after, breakfast started. During breakfast, an announcement was made that there would be a fourth group, and that I was in it. I gave my goodbyes to my former group and and went on to meet my new one. Our group leader was nice, and we went on to do one of the activities we had done the day before, and that as using a compass to find trees and sketch them. After we chose that we were going to hike Firescrew, and then go to Cardigan. We shortly assigned roles, and we were off. When we reached the summer of Firescrew summit, we saw my former group had beat us there. After a short break, we set off for Cardigan. There were two groups there, and we had to wait for the fourth to get the session one picture. After, we spent some time sketching at the top, and we began our descent. We did a square study, and that got us in last place of everyone else, but we caught up to the other ground and made it in third. After, we made it to the lodge, had our free time, and went to dinner. The theme of that day was regions, because we went through multiple zones through the altitude: the coniferous zone, and the alpine zone. These control what wildlife grows there.
