My first day at Cardigan

On the first day of the Cardigan trip, of course, we arrived there. I was placed into a group with Kyle, Nate, and some other, arrived and met our group leader. After some short, and kind of cheesy, group games, we went to our rooms to place our things and call dibs on bunks. Shortly after we began a hike towards Welton Falls. After a short walk and a bathroom stop, we came to an extremely mossy clearing, where we stopped and observed what was around us; a dug in house ruin! It was quite cool to see, and some of us even went inside! Unfortunately, we had to move on from that awesome sight, but why was ahead didn't disappoint. We shortly came to an area where we could take a few steps off the trail, and climb onto the rocks near the river. That was another cool thing. Again, unfortunately, we had to turn around because of a lack of time. On the way back, we came to the clearing again, and we decided to play camouflage. It was quite fun, but when Nate was the person in the middle and I made a "cah-caw, cah-caw" as a little joke, he found me. That was the end of that. After that, we arrived at the lodge to settle into rooms and have free time. Then we had dinner, and shortly after did some activities outside before the eclipse. Mr. Woolner read us a short Blackbeard story, and then we went up to bed. The theme of the first day was movement, because the school and lodge are connected in terms of how many people there were in the dining room at a time, and how the school had how many people there were in a classroom at a time.
