The islands of the west indies rely on tourism to support their economies.
1. What formed the islands of the west Indies?
Underwater Volcanoes are very common in the Caribbean, with out the underwater volcanoes the West Indies wouldn't be here. The west Indies were made by these underwater volcanoes which I think is very cool.

2. What is the major industry of the West Indies?
Tourism is a very important part of the West Indies, in fact it is their main industry.

3. Region- What three archipelagos make up the West Indies?
The three island groups of the West Indies are Greater Antilles, which Include the larger islands like Cuba and Puerto Rico. The other two islnads groups are the Lesser Antilles which contain Trinidad and Tobgao, last but certainly not least the Bahamas which contain the Bahamas.
4. HIstory- Name four groups who have influenced the culture of the Caribbean region. Spaniards, English, French, and Dutch have all influeneced the culture of the Caribbean.
5. How is Cuba different from every other country in the Western Hemisphere?
It is the largest, and it was also the first to claim its independence. Also, Cuba is the only communist state , and is led by a dictator.
