September 28th 2015
On day two we got up at 7:00 and ate breakfast. We got dressed, and then headed out for Cardigan. Today we were doing plot studies. As we hiked up the Alexandria ski trail we stopped every 500 feet in elevation to do a plot study. Almost all the plot studies were completely different because the region had changed. About half-way up we stopped and had a snack I noticed that the trees had begun to shorten in size. It had began to get a little shrubby and thick. Every plot study the area was different the higher up we wet the shorter the trees and the more shrubby it got. We did about 4 plot studies that day. When we reached the summit, (finally), we were the second group there. The only thing up there other than rock was small grasses. There were two more groups that were on Firescrew coming over to Cardigan. They were very spread out we could see one group on Firescrew, and the other group was already on the saddle coming over.The fire tower was tall and some kids tried to climb it. I did a rubbing of the medallion and we headed back down and played some games. As we went down the trees began to get taller and the environment was back to normal with a reasonable amount of grasses and shrubs and nice tall trees. Somehow we were the last group back. We took showers and got in some relaxing clothes. We ate some dinner it was a pineapple chicken thing that was surprisingly good. All of the kids except the group that had to clean up. Went to get for a camp fire. We put on skits to show our group was the best. We heard some stories and then went inside. Mr.Woolner told us some more stories then sent us to bed.
I ran up to my bunk room jumping around as if I could go hike again. I climbed up into bed and would not shut up. I think my bunk mates wanted to go sleep in the hall once, I shut up I realized they were asleep. Figures. I looked down from the top bunk and then looked at the door. Ug I said as I slide down the ladder. I headed toward the bathroom. Once I was back in the hall I realized everyone was asleep. I stood there for a second and smiled I tip toed back to the room. I bounded up my ladder and into my sleeping bag I was starting to doze off. It was silent as if everyone in the room was holding their breath. All of a sudden AHH someone had screamed and I was wide awake. I sat there shaking saying Hailey, Hailey, Hailey is that you Hailey are you awake Ana, Ana, Ana was that you, guys is anyone awake did anyone here that scream? Guys really? In my head I was thinking OMG OMG OMG. Out of nowhere it happened again MS CAIRNS MS MILLER AHHH AHHH. OMG OMG OMG it's speaking it's talking. Its Charlotte? I laughed at myself and laid down. I must have been tired because I fell asleep and slept through that same girl falling out of her bed. All in all the night was completely crazy.
