Day 1

When we arrived a Cardigan lodge, we played some games with the AMC staff. After we played the games, we ate lunch outside. We were divided into groups. My AMC staff leader was Hope; she was very nice and funny. Once we got into our groups, we hiked to our 2 waypoint, that was to the side of the trail. Next we came up with a group name, and signed a contract. Our next stop was off the trail where we learned about tree identification. Then we went to our fourth waypoint and completed a stream study. After dinner Hope took us on a night hike. We went into the woods to listen to the sounds of the night. Then we learned about night vision. Then we smelled some spices and tried to guess what they were. Then we hiked back and Mr. Woolner read to us, then we went upstairs and got ready for bed. Movement
