Day 3 at Cardigan

September 29th, 2015

By Alex B.

Morning:

We woke up (again) to BS. I won a couple games and then some people had to leave to go set up breakfast. We had French Toast. I had my hot cocoa with with me during breakfast and when I played cards. I am beginning to think it was my good luck charm. After breakfast we had another (Oh ah! Ort report I said oh ah) Ort Report (shakey shakey). Then we were told to go up to our rooms and pack up.

Afternoon:

We came downstairs after packing our stuff up. We all were pretty sad to leave. Our group was informed that we were going to do a pond study in the pond across from the bunk house. We walked over there and when we were told we were going to catch some living things in the pond I was ecstatic! When we actually started finding them I caught 4 newts and 1 baby salamander. I was instantly acclaimed the Newt Queen! I was having so much fun and then we had to stop and look at the creatures. We named the newts Sally, Sam, Sandra, and Sunny. We named the baby salamander Little dude. I found out that the pond that we studied was hand made!!! WOAH! It is a great example of Human Environment Interaction. Then it started rain shortly after that so we let our catches go and then went inside for lunch. We came out after lunch and found out it was time to go. I hated leaving and I honestly did not want to. I climbed onto the bus and met my friends in a seat. As the bus started moving we started to sing a capella. It was awesome we sounded really good! After an hour or so we got back to school and waited for our parents to pick us up. I went with my friend Teagan to her house and my Mom picked me up from there. After all that it was a good trip.
