Day 1 at Cardigan

Morning

I got to the High/Middle School with my Dad dropping me off saying his goodbyes and then he left. I met my friends, Teagan and Emma and then got on the bus and had a long journey to the AMC lodge. We finally got their after singing on the bus to the radio. We got to the lodge and had a long introduction then we got into our groups and immediately the other group started hiking but my group stayed behind. We did a little more introduction. Finally when we started to hike, Becka, my groups guide saw a what we think is a garter snake and drew it. Then as other groups started going back for some more activities we started our short hike.

Afternoon

We hiked on Nature's Trail. It was in the region of Alexandria, NH. We sketched a lot. And I mean a lot. We talked about every sketch we drew. We came to Bailey's Brook and decided to do a stream study. We looked for insects in the stream and did PH scales and did some water tests. We stayed there for a while and had so many discussions about the water. We decided to go back to the lodge to get settled in.

Evening

We got back to the lodge and got settled in. Then dinner was made and we sat down to eat. We got our first (Oh ah! Ort report I said oh ah) Ort Report (shakey shakey). Then after the Lunar Eclipse well, eclipsed. Mr. Woolner read us a story about blackbeard while the moon was getting ready to be fully eclipsed. Then we went off to bed. Except being the curious person I am I went into the girl's bathroom with some friends to see the moon fully eclipsed. Hehe. Soon after it was fully eclipsed we went to bed.
